OHS assistant principal, football coach resigns
by Karen Rouse

OSCODA — Oscoda High School Assistant Principal and Varsity Football Coach Kyle Tobin has given notice he is retiring, effective June 30.

“I’ve got my time in,” he said.
Asked about the news that he will be accepting employment at Alma College, Tobin responded, “No comment.”

Tobin began his employment as assistant principal three years ago and was appointed head football coach in June of 2006.

He was the coach who garnered national notice when he recommended cancellation of the 2006 varsity football season last September.

Tobin, who resides in Tawas City, said he has not yet determined if he will stay in the area after his retirement.
