Third annual Eagles Cup race is Saturday

EAST TAWAS - The third annual Eagles Cup race will be held Saturday on Tawas Bay.

The races start at noon with two fleets. One fleet with follow the other - spinnakers and jib and mains.
The event is cosponsored by the Tawas Bay Yacht Club, Tawas Bay Marina and Tawas Bay Eagles No. 2588. The Eagles Cup is part of the yacht club’s Ladd McKay summer racing series.

Proceeds from the event will go toward four charities - Hospice, Make A Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

The Eagles Club will be open to the public during the event and will sell items such as T-shirts and buttons to help raise funds for the charities.
