TAWAS CITY - The Tawas Area boys and girls varsity bowling teams got their season rolling on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Both teams battled Bay City All-Saints, with the boys playing in Skidway Lake and the girls playing in AuGres.
The boys were able to win both baker games, but lost both of the regular team games. All-Saints claimed an 18-12 victory. Ian MacMurray led the boys with a score of 236 and Witt Call Jr. threw a 174.

The girls won, 20.5-9.5. The Lady Braves split with All-Saints in the baker games and were able to win both regular team games. Top bowlers for the girls were Jennifer Heine with a 235 and Hannah Osborne with a 171.

“The girls are off to another great season on their way to their third state finals,” Head Coach Allen Miller said.
