OSCODA — AuSable Valley Audubon will be celebrating its 40th anniversary on Oct. 13 at Wiltse’s Brew Pub and Family Restaurant in Oscoda. The public may attend the event, which will include a dinner buffet.
The charge is $20 per person, which includes the buffet, a program which includes short talks on local Audubon history, a display table of historic memories and current activities, music by John Thomas and Mary Henry of Arpeggio and recognition of members, including a special tribute to Peggy Ridgway.
A social hour with an open bar and appetizers will be at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
There will be a silent auction of local nature photographs taken by Audubon members and guests will have the opportunity to read Haiku and other poetry submitted by Audubon members, which will be printed on event programs.
