LANSING – Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-143 on Wednesday, July 1 closing indoor service at bars throughout most of lower Michigan to protect the progress Michigan has made against COVID-19.

LANSING – Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Senate Bill 690 on Wednesday, July 1, which appropriates nearly $880 million in federal funding to support various COVID-19 response actions across the state.  

LANSING – Governor Gretchen Whitmer released the MI Safe Schools Return to School Roadmap on Tuesday, June 30, a “comprehensive document” to help districts create local plans for in-person learning in the fall.

TAWAS CITY – Members of the Michigan National Guard, along with staff from District Health Department No. 2 (DHD2), partnered Friday to provide free COVID-19 testing in both Tawas City and West Branch.

LANSING – Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Thursday signed Executive Order 2020-127, which extends the state of emergency declaration related to the COVID-19 pandemic until July 16.

LANSING – Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that Michigan schools may resume in-person learning in phase 4 of the MI Safe Start plan, with strict safety measures in place. The announcement came on Wednesday, June 17.
