TAWAS CITY – The Tawas Animal Hospital team says it is very proud to announce the opening of their No Empty Bowls, Pet Food Pantry.

The establishment will be open for its first pet food drive this Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for curbside pickup (while supplies last). The venue is located at 1627 M-55 in Tawas City.

Throughout the next 90 days, those at Tawas Animal Hospital will be donating 1,200 pounds of cat and dog food to families experiencing financial hardship during the COVID-19 quarantine.

Representatives say they understand how difficult it can be to afford food and care for one’s pets when experiencing financial hardship. It is important to the Tawas Animal Hospital team that they help their community of pet owners care for their companion animals and keep them healthy during this difficult time.

If you are in need of help affording dog or cat food for your pet, staff say they are here to help.
