TAWAS CITY – Tawas Community Concert Band Board has decided to cancel its Summer Concerts for 2020.

The decision was made because of a concern for the safety and well-being of the audience, the band and its families.  The 50 plus member band has not been able to assemble to prepare, and cannot practice social distancing while performing.

“It was not a decision that was easy to make, but we feel for all involved, it is the best one,” said Board president Mona Fiske, board president.

The band is in the process of determining the dates for their fall, Christmas and spring concerts.
