OSCODA – Staff at Robert J. Parks (RJP) Library is gearing up to host a number of events during May. 

The first of these will be today (May 5) from 4 to 5 p.m., staff will be offering an ALL EARS program for adults who enjoy being read to. Additionally, for the rest of this week staff will offer a take home Mother’s Day activity for children to do, from May 6-8. 

For those who enjoy looking at art, staff at RJP will have a Opening Artists Reception for the Spring Art Show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pieces will be on display during regular library hours from May 15 - June  

Additionally on May 19, the library staff will be offering an Adult Game Night at 4 to 5 p.m. The game will be UNO. Library staff requests that those interested in participating register by calling 739-9581. 

The following day, a P&P Project night will be available. Participants will learn how to draw and paint butterflies. The class is set to start at 5:30 p.m. and run until 6:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to register by calling the aforementioned phone number. 

The two final events to wrap up May will be held on May 26 and 29. On May 26, local can participate in the monthly Ladies Craft Night which is set to run from 5 to 6 p.m. Participants must register to partake. 

Finally, a program geared towards seniors called Are You Smarter Than your Smartphone will be available on May 29 at 10:15-11:30 a.m. Participants have to register in order to attend the event.
