TAWAS CITY – A National City woman was sentenced to time served after her guilty plea on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of malicious destruction of personal property-more than $1,000 but less than $20,000.
TAWAS Twp. – The Michigan State Police (MSP) are investigating an attempted breaking-and-entering at the Dean Arbour Detail Shop, located on Nunn Road in Tawas Township.
PLAINFIELD Twp. – The Michigan State Police (MSP) are investigating a rollover crash that injured two people, with the driver suspected of having been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
OSCODA – An Oscoda woman faces up to 15 years in prison after the death of her infant son, despite alleged warnings to her from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) that it was unsafe for the child to sleep in a swing.
OSCODA – An Oscoda man who collected more than 300 pieces of digital child pornography was sentenced to 23 years to seven years in prison for his crimes.
OSCODA – Glenn Thomas Harmon, 48, Oscoda, will appear in Iosco County’s 81st District Court on Nov. 19 – for both a pretrial conference and a preliminary exam – regarding an alleged incident which occurred Oct. 22.
HAY Twp. – Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) West Branch Post were dispatched at approximately 4:07 a.m. on Saturday to the 1500 block of E. Long Point Road, in Gladwin County’s Hay Township, for a domestic dispute with shots fired.
WHITTEMORE – Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) West Branch Post, at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Oct. 8, were dispatched to the intersection of Bullock Street (M-65) and Sherman Street in Whittemore, for a car versus pedestrian injury crash.
LANSING – The expanded Oral Fluid Roadside Analysis Pilot Program began Tuesday, Oct. 1, and includes participation from drug recognition experts (DREs) in every Michigan county.
TAWAS Twp. – Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers were dispatched on the morning of Sept. 29, to a residence on Lorenz Road in Tawas Township, for the complaint of a stolen all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
PLAINFIELD Twp. – The Michigan State Police (MSP) issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign to Elmer Melvin Prieur, 83, Hale, which resulted in a crash in Plainfield Township on Sept. 21.
