TAWAS CITY – An Oscoda man, who authorities allege made dozens of harassing phone calls to Iosco County governmental agencies has been charged with aggravated stalking and other charges.
EAST TAWAS – Of the four different law enforcement agencies which serve areas throughout Iosco County, one department handled at least three separate all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crashes, in the span of a few days.
TAWAS Twp. – A two-vehicle collision which occurred on Sept. 10, in Tawas Township, resulted in incapacitating injuries to Holli Beth Thurston, 75, Hale. The crash took place on M-55, near Rempert Road, shortly after 4 p.m.
PLAINFIELD Twp. – Brandon Earl Lavere, 38, South Branch, became trapped in the car he was driving, following the single-vehicle crash in Plainfield Township.
LANSING – A father and son duo from Rogers City have been charged for poaching elk, among other species, following an ongoing investigation by Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) conservation officers.
RENO Twp. – When a car collided with a horse-drawn buggy recently in Reno Township, it left 11 people with injuries – nine of whom are from the same family.
RENO Twp. – Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) West Branch Post are investigating a serious traffic crash involving a vehicle and a horse-drawn buggy.
FOSTER Twp. – On Saturday, at approximately 5:06 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) West Branch Post were dispatched to Clear Lake, in Ogemaw County’s Foster Township, for a watercraft collision.
WEST BRANCH – As the summer months begin to draw to a close and the Labor Day holiday rapidly approaches, the Michigan State Police (MSP) West Branch Post is reminding motorists that the post’s “Trunkline Traffic Initiative” is ongoing.
HARRISVILLE – Deputies from the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a distress call on Lake Huron near the Harrisville Harbor on Friday, July 31, at 2:48 p.m.
GREENBUSH – A 15-year-old male of Livona is suspected to have broken into the Cedar Lake Grocery Store to obtain numerous liquor bottles on Aug. 1, according to Alcona County Sheriff Deputies.
PLAINFIELD Twp. – A Hale man was sentenced to a year in jail following his guilty pleas to trespassing and disorderly drunk person.
