LANSING – The expanded Oral Fluid Roadside Analysis Pilot Program began Tuesday, Oct. 1, and includes participation from drug recognition experts (DREs) in every Michigan county.
TAWAS Twp. – Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers were dispatched on the morning of Sept. 29, to a residence on Lorenz Road in Tawas Township, for the complaint of a stolen all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
PLAINFIELD Twp. – The Michigan State Police (MSP) issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign to Elmer Melvin Prieur, 83, Hale, which resulted in a crash in Plainfield Township on Sept. 21.
TAWAS CITY – Michigan State Police (MSP) personnel, at 7:43 p.m. on Saturday, received information that a Tawas Area High School student was going to bring a knife to the homecoming dance that evening, and allegedly stab other students.
WHITTEMORE – For the second time in recent weeks, Michigan State Police (MSP) Troopers have responded to complaints of a suspicious person approaching young people in the area.
TAWAS CITY – Authorities have arrested Michael David Mier, 31, Bay City, for allegedly robbing the Mercantile Bank on South Bennett Street in Rose City on Sept. 6.
WILBER Twp. – A Tawas City man involved in a single-vehicle crash on Sept. 1 was taken to the hospital and, following his discharge, was lodged in the Iosco County jail for allegedly operating while intoxicated.
TAWAS CITY – Kristopher Charles Webb-Lippert, 36, Hale, is facing one felony count of breaking-and-entering, and one felony count of resisting/obstructing a police officer.
