PLAINFIELD Twp. – Troopers with the Michigan State Police (MSP) West Branch Post are investigating an attempted homicide which was reported on April 25, at 2:45 p.m., in Plainfield Township.

MSP Sgt. Douglas Gough states that a 63-year-old man from Hale used his vehicle to intentionally strike a 44-year-old man, who was an acquaintance of his.

Gough advised that the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and that both the suspect and suspect vehicle have been located.

At press time, he noted that no arrest has been made and that the incident is still under investigation.

“The complaint will be turned over to the Iosco County Prosecutor,” he stated, adding that more information will be provided following this.
