OSCODA – Two people were taken to the hospital by ambulance on April 25, after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Oscoda Township.
The incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. on F-41, near Kings Corner Road.
The Oscoda Township Police Department (OTPD) states that the driver, operating a Chevrolet Trax, was Michael Robert Kaiser, 57. His passenger at the time was Michael Robert Kaiser, Jr., 30, and both men reside in Oscoda.
According to the traffic crash report, Kaiser sustained non-incapacitating injuries, while Kaiser, Jr. experienced possible injuries. The report also reads that alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the event.
The OTPD says that Kaiser – who became trapped in the vehicle during the crash – was southbound on F-41 when he exited the roadway to the right. He then struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its hood.
Both occupants were said to be wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
