HALE – AuGres’ Brett Maser ran for five touchdowns Friday night giving the Wolverines a 34-12 win and ownership rights to the Jug over host Hale in a North Star League football matchup.

Hale and AuGres both scored one first half touchdown to play to a 6-6 tie at the half with Hale getting its score on a Ryan Richardson quarterback run and AuGres’ Maser running in from 21 yards out.

Mazer opened up the scoring in the second half with an early 50 yard touchdown run and later in the third ran in from 12 yards out to put AuGres up 20-6.

The Eagles responded with a 12-play, 53-yard drive that ended in a one yard Dan Katterman touchdown run. Richardson attempted to run to the right on the two-point conversion, but was forced out of bounds to leave Hale behind 20-12 with 10:16 left in the fourth.
