OSCODA – The Tawas Area Lady Braves have number four on their mind. After topping host Oscoda in five sets on Wednesday, Tawas is just one win away from clinching its fourth straight volleyball league championship, the third of which would be in the Huron Shores Conference.
“We’re not going to take any games for granted,” Tawas head coach Carol Elowsky said of their 26-24, 27-25, 19-25, 21-25, 15-4 win. “We’re just going to work hard for each match coming up.”
The Lady Braves and Lady Owls played a back-and-forth first set, with Tawas eventually earning a 26-24 win.
A service ace by Olivia Janis gave Tawas a 14-9 lead in the second set, though Oscoda eventually tied the score at 18 on a Mary Ruby kill.
