OSCODA – The Oscoda United Methodist Church (UMC) welcomes locals to participate in The Great Pumpkin Grab this Saturday at 10 a.m. to noon.

According to UMC Secretary Julie Burrell, only one pumpkin is allowed per family. The event will take place in the back parking lot and locals will be able to pick up a free pumpkin.

As a reminder, the event is on first-come, first-served basis, so once the pumpkins are gone there will be no more available. Burrell said she estimates about 30 will be available. Pumpkins will be distributed by the church’s youth group, according to Burrell.

In the past the UMC have held Halloween parties and gatherings, but due to the threat of COVID-19, the opted to give away pumpkins for free instead. For more information about the event contact UMC at 739-8591.
