OSCODA – In accordance with the Stay at Home Order, this year, Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center will be conducting a virtual butterfly fundraiser during April’s National Child Abuse Prevention month.

Individual butterflies will not be offered at local sponsoring businesses but can be purchased online at NMCAC4kids.org.

The group will be putting names on a wall of butterflies and posting it on its Facebook  page.

During this time of such social isolation and personal stress, the importance of raising awareness and support for all Michigan children and families cannot be overemphasized, as stated by the group

The group will also be posting different informational videos throughout the month and some fun things to do at home with younger children.

Those interested can see the group by visiting Facebook.com/nmcac4kids1 or call 989-275-7145.
