OSCODA – Alcona Health Center (AHC) is excited to announce they will be operating a drive up COVID-19 Testing Site in Oscoda in collaboration with Iosco County Emergency Management, Iosco County Sheriff’s Office and District Health Department No. 2.

The new Oscoda test site is located at the Alcona Health Center parking lot, 5671 N. Skeel Ave, Oscoda MI. (Utilize the Glennie Road entrance on the west side of the building).

The site will be open to community members 12 and older for high priority, priority and permissible COVID-19 testing. Due to limited testing supplies, testing requires a referral from a healthcare provider and is by appointment only.  AHC patients and individuals without a primary care provider can call 739-2550 ext. 1165 to speak with staff regarding testing.

Those who regularly receive care elsewhere should contact their primary care provider directly for a referral to use this drive up testing site.

Beginning May 29, these drive up testing appointments will be available Monday through Friday from 2-4 p.m. (Hours may be adjusted based on demand.)  Patients are advised to visit www.alconahealthcenters.org/covid-19-alerts  to read the instructions and to view a tutorial video prior to their drive up appointment. Other arrangements can be made for those without internet access.

Alcona Health Center is committed to serving the citizens of northern Michigan, providing comprehensive medical, behavioral health, substance use disorder services in a safe and caring environment.  AHC offers assistance for uninsured and underinsured patients.
