OSCODA – The Oscoda Township Police Department (OTPD) was dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Cedar Lake Road, near Loud Drive, just before 8 p.m. June 18.

The driver – Kenneth Gerald Gagnon, 28, Oscoda – was reported to have sustained non-incapacitating injuries during the incident.

According to the OTPD, Gagnon said he was northbound on Cedar Lake Road when his throttle became stuck and he could not slow down.

When he couldn’t slow down he hit the gravel and it pulled him off the roadway and into a nearby yard, where he eventually laid the motorcycle down and appeared to eject forward off of the machine.

Police advise that neither drugs nor alcohol contributed to the event, and that Gagnon was wearing a helmet at the time.

His bike required a tow from the crash site, upon experiencing disabling damage.
