HARRISVILLE – On Thursday, Oct. 29, troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post were dispatched to a report of an assault that took place the night before at a residence on East Saint Jeffery Road in Harrisville. 

The investigation led to the arrest of 37-year-old Adam Dean Johnson of Harrisville for assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence.

The victim called 911 the following day from a friend’s home to report she and Johnson had gotten in an argument at their home in Harrisville. During the argument, Johnson allegedly held a hatchet against her forehead and threatened her.

Johnson was lodged in the Alcona County Jail. He was arraigned in the 81st District Court in Alcona County on one count assault with a dangerous weapon and one count domestic violence. His bond was set at $10,000.
