A TO Z

Following the Perchville Coronation Breakfast on Saturday, attendees enjoyed a multitude of fun and kooky, yet challenging games, hosted by Tim Haskin. For the contest shown here, participants were given a set of letters which they had to unscramble and use to spell out several different words. There were some other tasks peppered in along the way, with the final step being to recite the “ABC Song” for the crowd of onlookers.

FITTING DECOR

In a nod to past Perchville festivals, one wall of the Coronation Breakfast venue was lined with drawings of the buttons from previous events. Perchville USA is now seven decades in, and the 2020 activities will pick back up this Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 6-8.

SCOOP IT UP

One of the games during the 2020 Perchville Coronation Breakfast involved competitors using only a spoon clenched in their mouths to drop M&Ms into a row of cups, while making sure the color of the candy corresponded with that of the cup. The silly series of challenges was well worth it for the winners, as prizes for the various games included lawn furniture, miscellaneous baskets of goodies, gift certificates, a patio heater, an A-frame log swing, a propane double burner and more.

ROAD RALLY CHAMPS

The inaugural Kick Off the Road Rally began after the Perchville Coronation Breakfast on Feb. 1. Teams of up to four people had to travel through the community in search of clues, and document their adventures on the Perchville Facebook page. The first-place finishers, known as team “Fam Clan,” are seen here with some classic cartoon characters near the Tawas City Library, which was one of the required stops along the way. Pictured above, from left, are Ashley, Kaitlyn, Ann and Courtney Johnson.
