The Owls huddle up before the start of Friday’s playoff game.

OSCODA – Oscoda struck first. Breckenridge delivered the fatal blows. Just like that, the Owl football season was over, as they came up short against the Huskies, 7-33, in their Division 7 pre-district game Friday night.

“It is always tough to see the football season come to an end,” head coach Mark Whitley said of the road playoff loss. “We played hard on Friday, but on that night, Breckenridge was the better team.”

The Owls won the coin toss and elected to receive the opening kick.

Breckenridge booted an onside kick right at lineman Jacob Condor, but Condor handled the ball, giving his team the ball on their own 47-yard line.
