Emma Kane lets go of a pitch.

BEAVERTON – The Oscoda softball team wasn’t able to overcome a strong Beaverton team on Saturday. The Lady Owls, playing the host Lady Beavers in a division three district final game, fell 10-1.

“It has been an absolute joy to coach this team and I wouldn’t have wanted to start my varsity head coaching career with any other group of girls,” head coach Tucker Whitley said of the season ending loss. We will return next season with a ton of talent and now experience.”

Rhea Amrich had an RBI double to drive in the team’s lone run, Macy Kellstrom also had a double and Emma Kane had a single.

“I would like to thank the seniors for their four years of dedication, and let the younger girls know that we have extremely good things coming our way,” Whitley said. “As always, it’s a great day to be an Owl!”
