VALENTINES FOR VETERANS

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Tawas Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary Post 5678 members honored the veterans residing at Tawas Village, MediLodge of Tawas City, Harbors Independent & Assisted Living of East Tawas, Lakeview Manor Healthcare Center, Iosco County Medical Care Facility and Hale Creek Manor. “There is a total of 48 veterans who reside in these facilities,” says VFW Auxiliary representative Marlene Polishak. The veterans each received balloons, candy and cards from school children in Hale and West Branch. Shown here, in no particular order, are Auxiliary members Jane Dady, Betty Griffin and Kathy Neddo, along with two employees of Lakeview Manor. Not pictured are Polishak and Wilma Maynard.
