HALE – Hale was able to come away with a solid second place finish at the Shepherd Invitational on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Coleman won the eight-team event with 58 points, while Hale was right behind with 60.

Freshman Alex Wanty continued his strong start to the season with a second place finish and a time of 18:17, Eddie Lavere was fifth with a time of 19:00, Robert Rosebrugh placed 11th at 20:59, Skyler Short came in 26th thanks to a time of 23:26, Dalton Jaremba and Dylan Koepke were 35th and 36th with times of 25:41.7 and 25:41.8, Zander Johnson came in 40th at 29:21 and Deon’taie Hence placed 42nd by clocking a 31:27. 

Hale hosted the first North Star League jamboree on Tuesday and heads to Oscoda this coming Tuesday for the second NSL jamboree.
