The City of East Tawas let kids be kids on Halloween, Oct. 31, 2020 with two restrictions – no parade and no entering stores. Instead, due to COVID-19, the East Tawas Business Association this year held a "Mask-O-Ween Hall-O-Ween" where businesses along Newman Street in downtown East Tawas naded out candy outside on the sidewak. The city also closed a portion of Newman Street downtown from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for the event.
