OSCODA – The Oscoda Township Police Department are asking for any information that could help them in their ongoing investigation of the homicide of a 3-year-old Oscoda resident, according to a press release issued Friday afternoon.
Police said, in the release, that in the early morning hours of Sept. 17, officers were dispatched to a residence on Cedar Lake Road, just north of F-41, after it was reported that a human foot was found protruding from a garbage bag at the residence.
Responding officers located a deceased 3-year-old victim, who was identified as a resident of the home where they were found. The release said foul play was suspected.
According to the press release, an alleged suspect in the homicide, who is said to allegedly frequently stay at the same address, has been apprehended and arrested, though they have not been arraigned on charges as of Friday evening.
Iosco County Prosecuting Attorney James Bacarella said the alleged suspect would probably be arraigned on Monday, but provided no further comment.
